Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February's 18th, marking 40 days of deep reflection, repentance, and renewal. It is a time to prepare our hearts for Easter, remembering that through His sacrifice, we are given new life.
On the night before the cross, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked His friends to remain with Him in prayer. They tried but could not stay awake.
Jesus’s response was not condemnation, but a calling back—given with patience and grace.
Lent begins at the foot of the cross.
We do not rush past it.
We walk with it before us—toward the light of resurrection,
returning to the cross, now radiant with promise.
