“Remain here and keep watch with me.” ~Matthew 26:38

For the sacred season of Lent, I’ll be setting aside my daily ‘Thou Art With Me’ bracelet and wearing the Remain With Me bracelet instead.

But because I need something simpler.

A quiet reminder that just showing up is enough.

On the night before the cross, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked His friends to remain with Him in prayer.

They tried but they fell asleep.

Again and again.

He did not shame them.
He did not tell them they had failed.
He simply invited them back.

To stay.

And that was all He asked.
