🌿 Today, I will listen for His voice calling me by name

“Mary.” — John 20:16

The stone has been rolled away,
and the tomb is empty.

The others have come and gone,
but Mary remains.

She doesn’t yet understand what has happened.

And then—

a voice.

She doesn’t recognize Him at first.

But when He speaks her name—

“Mary.”

Everything changes.

She sees Him now.

Jesus.

Alive before her.

PRAYER

Jesus,

Sometimes I don’t recognize You right away.

Sometimes I’m still standing in a place that feels unclear,
trying to understand what has changed,
or where You are.

But You are closer than I realize.

You come near.
You speak.
You call me by name.

Help me hear You today.

In the quiet…
in the waiting…
in the moments that don’t fully make sense yet—

help my heart recognize Your voice.

And when You call me,
help me turn toward You.

Help me trust what I hear.
Help me believe that You are here—

present,
near,
and closer than I thought.

Amen.

She stays….not because she understands BUT BECAUSE SHE IS NOT READY TO LEAVE! ***boom*** this is the moment….the time, to REMAIN, quiet, silent, open to HIS VOICE. HE WILL SPEAK …. we MUST learn to listen. And then…wait for it, you WILL hear Him call your name…and when HE does, everything does shift and she KNOWS! and not only that…..she KNOWS that she knows!! The others have come and gone but ______ remains. It is IN THIS WAITING HE speaks. Help me LORD to clearly KNOW Your Voice….in the quiet…in the waiting…in the moments that do not make sense at this time…..Help me LORD to rest FULLY IN TRUSTING YOU. Your sweet mercy and unyielding faithfulness are new every single morning. ALL Glory to GOD!! Blessings to you Marissa, thank you sharing your time and talents.
