How to Use the Remain With Me Bracelet During Lent

The Remain With Me bracelet is not meant to be worn perfectly.
It’s meant to be worn faithfully.

Here are a few simple ways to use it as a prayer companion throughout Lent.

1. Put It On Intentionally

On the first day you wear the bracelet, take a quiet moment.

As you slip it onto your wrist, pray:

Jesus, I choose to remain with You.

That’s enough.
You don’t need to say more.

2. Let It Call You Back

Throughout the day, you’ll notice the bracelet as your hands move.

When you do:

  • pause for one breath

  • whisper “Remain with me,” or simply “Jesus”

This is not about stopping everything.
It’s about returning—again and again.

Just like the disciples in the garden.

3. Use It When You Feel Tired or Distracted

Lent can be demanding—emotionally and spiritually.

When prayer feels hard:

  • hold the bracelet

  • rest your hand on the cross

  • remember that Jesus understands weariness

Remaining doesn’t require strength.
It requires honesty.

4. Mark the Days of Lent

Each day you wear the bracelet is a quiet act of faithfulness.

You don’t need to measure progress.
You don’t need to “feel” different.

Lent works slowly.

Trust that remaining—day by day—shapes the heart in ways we don’t always see.

5. Walk the Journey With Someone Else

Traditionally, the Remain With Me bracelet is shared in pairs.

Consider wearing it alongside:

  • a friend

  • a family member

  • someone who needs encouragement

You don’t have to pray the same way.
You’re simply choosing to remain—together.
