There’s a sacred rhythm to our days—the quiet of morning prayer, the motion and noise in between, and the gentle hush of evening. Yet in the middle of life’s demands and distractions, it’s easy to drift from that rhythm. We need reminders that draw our hearts back to Him (or at least I do), keeping our thoughts and prayers flowing like a steady tide throughout the day.

That heartbeat is what inspired Hints for Prayerful Pause. The idea first began as a tiny mustard-seed hope during one of the darkest seasons of my life. I was newly divorced, raising my three-year-old daughter alone, and holding on by a thread. In those tear-filled days, my only prayer was, “Help me through this moment.” I wore a small cross bracelet, and when it tapped against my wrist mid-sob, it nudged me to pause… breathe… pray… and trust God again.

Over time, light broke through. I realized that simple act—a touch on the wrist, a pause to pray—was how God was gently stitching me back together, softer yet stronger than before. I wanted to share that experience with others: tangible reminders to pause, pray, and stay connected with Him through any and every season.
