Come to me—I will give you rest.
Today, Jesus invites us closer.
In His own words, He speaks directly to our weariness.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
He does not pretend the burdens aren’t real.
He does not minimize what you’re carrying.
He simply says: Bring it here.
We often think of the Life of Faith as something we do for God.
But before it becomes anything we offer,
it is something we receive.
Rest.
Not the kind that comes from finishing everything.
Not the kind that comes from solving every problem.
But the rest that comes from placing what is heavy into stronger hands.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Remaining with Him does not mean pretending you are strong.
It means letting yourself be held when you are not.
Today, notice what feels heavy.
Name it.
And instead of pushing through it,
bring it to Him.
Sit long enough to let His rest settle over you.
You don’t have to carry it alone.
