🌿 Today, I will know I am cared for—and care for others

ā€œHere is your son… Here is your mother.ā€ —John 19:26–27

Sometimes we think we need to get through what we’re facing
before anything else can be asked of us.

But here, Jesus does something different.

While He is still on the cross,
He makes sure His mother is cared for.

Not after the moment passes.
Not once the pain is gone.

Right there—
in the middle of it.

And in the same way,
we are not left alone in what we carry.

And from that place,
we can still care for others
in whatever way we can.

PrayerĀ

Jesus,

Sometimes it feels like
I need to get through what I’m facing
before I can think about anything else.

But You meet me in it.

Not after it’s resolved.
Not once everything feels lighter—

but right here.

Help me to trust
that I am not alone.

That You see what I’m carrying.
That You care for me—
and that I am cared for in it.

And from that place,
teach me to notice
who is near.

To remain open—
even in small ways.

Show me
that love can still move
even here.

Amen.

Yes, Amen. Thank you Jesus! It’s so hard reading these scriptures. All the pain and suffering Jesus endured for my sins. To think of Mary having to see her baby suffering at the hands of these men. I cannot imagine. This has been a wonderful series. This prayer touches me today. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and may he comfort you in all you endure. Our heavenly Father loves us , like we are the only child.
