A Lent Prayer Bracelet
“Remain here and keep watch with me.” ~Matthew 26:38
For the sacred season of Lent, I’ll be setting aside my daily ‘Thou Art With Me’ bracelet and wearing the Remain With Me bracelet instead.
But because I need something simpler.
A quiet reminder that just showing up is enough.
On the night before the cross, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked His friends to remain with Him in prayer.
They tried but they fell asleep.
Again and again.
He did not shame them.
He did not tell them they had failed.
He simply invited them back.
To stay.
And that was all He asked.
Lent begins at the foot of the cross.
Not rushing past it.
Not striving harder.
But returning—again and again.
The Remain With Me bracelet was created as a quiet companion for this Season.

Not as a badge of discipline.
But as a reminder that you can return.
Maybe just showing up is the ask.

Lent is based on Jesus’ time in the desert, in which for 40 days He fasted and prayed and was tempted by the devil before angels came and tended to Him.
